STORYTELLER SERIES

Tricia Pearsall

About Tricia

When Tricia Pearsall moved to Richmond in 1966, she already had a deep appreciation for being on the water having previously sailed in Deltaville. She wasted no time getting familiar with her new waterway by canoeing, kayaking, and most recently fishing on the James.

Tricia shares the history of the river in Richmond, how floods can create opportunities along with their destruction, the importance of educating children about the James (and her own experiences with it), and how we must acknowledge the power of the river, the interconnectedness of our surrounding ecosystems, and the role we all play in ensuring the river thrives.
