Senator Tim Kaine

About Senator Kaine

As a young man, Tim Kaine fell in love with paddling in the Ozarks of Missouri. Years later, during his first visit to Richmond, the James River immediately caught his attention. After experiencing it, he was easily convinced to move to the city by his wife, Anne.

Senator Kaine shares how recently completed what he coined a “Nature Triathlon” to better understand the history and current lives of Virginians, touches on how the health of the James has improved leading up to the 50th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act on October 18, 2022, and discusses the critical importance of protecting our waterways through legislation and accessibility.
