Elizabeth Wise is a Richmond-based musician and a true powerhouse in the local blues scene. Known for her soulful voice and lyrics, Elizabeth used her talent for words to write a love song to the James when she was homesick for the river, better known as Richmondtown (Peace of Mind), which has become the title track for Stories by the James.

Elizabeth shares how her upbringing and love of the James has influenced her everywhere she has lived (and she’s lived all over the world!), various aspects of her music and songwriting, and how she relates to her community.
