Charles Johnson
About Charles
Charles Johnson’s love of the water began at an early age along the New Jersey coast, and this appreciation only grew once he moved to Virginia for college and discovered the James River.
Along his conservation and career journeys, Charles has discovered new and even unexpected paths, including his passion for teaching. As the Upper James Education Manager for the James River Association, Charles describes the joys of river-based education and the valuable environmental lessons he’s given to—and received from—students along the way.
