Almeta Ingram-Miller currently leads The Legendary Ingramettes, a renowned Richmond-based gospel group established by her mother, Maggie Ingram, more than six decades ago.
In her story, Almeta describes witnessing the James River flooding in Richmond as a young girl, which inspired her mother to write a song that put The Legendary Ingramettes on the national map. Almeta also shares how the river shows up in her life today, most profoundly through the peace it provided her late grandson.
