Story prompt: Write your own river story…
I love painting on our river. As seasons change so do my images. I gain my inspiration from the river and complete them in my studio. Our “river” quietly offers the creative inspiration I need to create meaningful pieces. My work has evolved from direct observations of nature and water into more colorful expressions of movement that connects me to it. I will always be inspired by the waterways that surrounds our community.
As an Artist I will always paint images of our river. I am grateful to live near the James river and be able to gain inspiration from it, which makes me feel free.
With great respect, Lisa Lezell Levine
