Tales from the RIVERKEEPER

About Jamie & Justin

Jamie and Justin have been friends for decades. Most recently, they celebrated their friendship on a whole new level as co-workers at the James River Association.

Director of River Ecology and Former James Riverkeeper Jamie Brunkow and Director of Community Conservation Justin Doyle, share a few river adventures they embarked on, both inside and outside of work. They reminisce about the trials and tribulations of capsizing, fondly remember the time they reunited a calf with its mother, and even dive into the now infamous story of how the James claimed Justin’s “first” wedding ring.

Through it all, they agree that the river has always played a very special role in their lives and their friendship. Enjoy these ‘Tales from the Riverkeeper’!
